Holidays are here again!

A small treat for your furry friends may seem like a nice thing to do during the holiday season, but be careful! Sensitive canine and feline tummies do not always respond well to rich holiday fare! Check with our staff if in doubt about a special nibble for your furry friends.

Emergency room visits are on the rise during the holiday season due to ingestion of foreign bodies such as tinsel and cord decorations. These items are particularly enticing to our pets, so keep them out of reach! Monitor wrapped gifts for content. You may not be able to smell those fancy chocolate bites in your stocking, but you can be sure your pup does!

Natalie Waggener DVM

Graduated from Louisiana State University School of Vet. Med. with DVM 2001
Licensed in RI and MA
Husband: John
Pets: Iris (Rhodesian Ridgeback), Martin (Labrador retriever), Rico (chihuahua), Minerva (chihuahua)
Moved to MA in 2005 and love it!
Days off are spent remodeling a handyman special and taking the dogs to the beach for playtime, gardening

Dr. Stacy Chartrand

Dr. Chartrand was recently introduced as new veterinarian. She is a Canadian national we werepleased to add as a temporary member of our team. Dr. Chartand is a skilled emergency veterinarian having worked for years in some of the top hospitals across Canada.

Jill MacMillan - senior surgery technician

Jill has been caring for pets as a technician in the Boston area since 1999. She also enjoys caring for her own zoo at home with dogs, cats reptiles and even a cockatoo! Jill is married to Diane and has 2 teenage girls.

Lauren- technician, CVT in training

Originally from California, Lauren moved to Massachusetts for school and now fits in very well at South Boston Animal Hospital. She has 2 cats named Konis and Henry and was recently married to Magne her Norwegian sweetheart.

NOTE: Lauren is moving to Norway at the beginning of 2010! We will miss her terribly, but hope her move goes without a hitch!

Susan- CVT

Susan moved from California to Boston in 2001. She resides in Southie with Pearl her beautiful yellow Labrador. She is a lifelong animal lover and thinks this career is a great match for her. We are happy to have her as a member of our skilled team!

Sean -Veterinary assistant

Sean is a Weymouth resident with a Maine Coon cat for a roomie! He joined the team recently after a period of employment for a large veterinary pharmaceutical company. A great people person, Sean is always ready to help.

Laura - Currently enrolled and pursuing her CVT at Mt. Ida, Laura is a great addition to our weekend staff. We hope to keep her after she completes her degree.
